I’ve never seen The Room. I’ve heard it’s bad. The clips I’ve seen are bad.
Some say it’s the worst movie ever made. Not having seen it, I can’t disagree. I’m not sure what’s the worst movie I’ve seen. Manos: The Hands of Fate? Plan 9 From Outer Space? Zaat (The Blood Waters of Dr. Z)? Howard the Duck?
I suppose I need to see The Room. One day, maybe.
What’s on your mind? It’s Tuesday Night Open Thread. Your turn to take over and lead the conversation.
Who wants to start?

Plan 9 from Outer Space isn’t as bad as everyone says. I’ve seen worse.
I’ve never seen this movie either, but it looks like I haven’t really missed anything. It’s probably not as bad a movie as oh let’s say Dolomite or Eegah but it sounds like it’s not for want of trying.

Purple Butterfly. My ex and I used to call it “That Movie”. Not just bad, but B.O.R.I.N.G. Plus, we paid to watch it.
The worst movie I ever saw was from the 1800’s..something about a fake horse and Jockey going around and around a fake track. smh
Samuel Colt, an extraordinarily good mechanical and manufacturing engineer and inventor of the Colt six-shot revolver, was born July 19, 1814.
How bad a movie is should be graded on a curve. The older the movie, the bigger the curve. Why? Because the knowledge of how to make movies is always growing, and the technology for it is always improving. A lot of Ed Wood’s movies had really horrible special effects (visible wires, etc.). But there wasn’t CGI back then, or a lot of other tech available now, so Ed had a less capable toolset to make his movies with. That should be taken into account when “grading” how bad a movie is.
