Georges Melies was a man well ahead of his time and a true pioneer of the movie industry. He even produced a color version of this movie.

I recently saw the movie Hugo, which featured Miele’s story as a sub plot. Weird movie, but worth watching on netflix or whatever.
William Lyons, who founded the Swallow Sidecar Company, which later brought us the Jaguar, which allowed thousands to spend their weekends working on their cars instead of driving them, was born September 4, 1901.
