11 Fun Facts About The Family Circus

Just a note re: #8 – if you’re curious about the “Dysfunctional Family Circus”, you can Google it, but be warned that it’s one of those “You crossed the line!” – “There’s a line???” sorta places that will leave scars on decent people. Makes “The Aristocrats” look like The Teletubbies.

I’m thinking no, since if I’ve heard of them, that means they’re famous, and I wouldn’t want to be famous because having fans is annoying.

Either that, or the guy in charge of bacon R&D at Oscar Mayer.

Wednesday Night Open Thread

I’ve posted some things here before about those Marvel comic book movies. Spoilers: I don’t care for them.

I haven’t see many of them, including the most recent big blockbuster, Black Panther.

Why not? Well, I already said I don’t care for comic book movies. But, a friend of mine did go see it. Paul, who used to go by the name Two Dogs, over at his blog, Mean Ol’ Meany, paid good money and watched the Black Panther movie.

What did he think about it? Well, go see. And let him know what you think.

Have you seen anything you want to comment on? Or have an idea to share? Or a joke? Of, well, anything? It’s Wednesday Night Open Thread, and you control the conversation.

Have you ever met your idol or someone you revere greatly?

Worked for Fred Thompson for a while. He was a classy, thoughtful guy with a great sense of humor. My favorite experiences were those rare times when I made him laugh out loud on the air after he read something I wrote. Oddly, I never talked to him on the phone, but we exchanged emails regularly.

I also got to work for Dennis Miller. He… is not a people person by nature. On the other hand, I’ve never known anyone with more sincere respect for those who choose to wear America’s military uniforms.
