I might support this if it wasn’t designed to create 4 more Democratic Senators for eternity.
Well, there is some chance that some of those senators would be Republicans; likewise with the electoral votes of the new states in presidential elections.

The real losers are the people of ”Northern California” who got stuck with the Bay Area. The Bay Area should be assigned to “California” and not the far northern mostly conservative part of the state.
And the central part gets Sacramento if I am not mistaken. Amazing how large portions of Democrat voters wind up in each part, ain’t it?
The Spanish stole it from the Indians. After the Spanish morphed into Mexicans we won it by right of conquest from them. Move on.
