Good evening and time for the Hootenanny. I worked with the Emu on this so there is a “What connects all these?” question involved and the one who solves it will win a new Award. Which I will make up shortly.
So without further ado since we had enough do already…
Herr Kapellmeister, play on!

Are these all B-sides of other singles?
Seeing the Monkees on here just reminded me of something I learned yesterday. Did you know that Jimi Hendrix was the opening act for their 1967 tour? Mickey Dolenz was into his style and got him the gig. Unfortunately, the venn diagram of people willing to shell out money to see The Monkees and those who could get into Purple Haze has very little overlap, so Jimi Hendrix only experienced bout seven dates on that tour.
Hmmmmmm…….
Looks like Baby, Please Don’t Go was the A-side and Gloria was the B-side.
The order of the Golden Emu will be awarded. They are indeed all “B” sides.
Wow, that’s a real feather in my cap. Thank you.
The Golden Emu is just metaphorical, right? I’m not actually expected to house and care for a real bird, am I? My landlord is pretty laid back, but I think a large bird, even if it is flightless, would be stretching the bounds of his tolerance.
Errr, I’ll get back to you on that.
A song for our time………………… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qtjceaknzHQ
