“Hanoi Jane” Fonda hasn’t manned an AAA position on a goodwill tour to the insurgents in Iraq to my knowledge.
Iraq is really dry and hot whereas Vietnam was/is WET and hot.
And there are dozens, nay, scores of other perfectly reasonable reasons why they aren’t the same.

The only similarlity between Iraq and Vietnam as far as I can tell is the way the left is treating our troops.
In all of the video and media coverage I’ve seen from Iraq, I have never once spotted a rice patty that was worth a damn.
A lot less Asians then in Vietnam.
Also Vietnam was low quality. Heck, some of it was in black and white. Iraq is in 1080p SLI DVI on the xbox or something liek that.
Ok some of the weapons and weapon systems are the same as Vietnam. But they either fire uranium bullets now or got painted yellow. So I wont count that.
Last thing. I checked my globe and Vietnam is a light yellow. While Iraq is pink. Come on! They are nothing alike.

I’m horribly embarassed this jackass represents me — and that I was ignorant enough to vote for him on the recomendation of a friend who was supposedly familiar with him. He certainly didn’t campaign like he was some kind of moron. Of course, he seems to think that if he runs for President, he needs to portay himself as McCain-light. I doubt he would even carry the state if he were to run again, local citizens are pretty peeved at him turning purple.

He’s right-it is like Viet Nam – the media and the left are working against the USA – brave soldiers died for freedom from oppression of people of cultures different than ours. The Democratic party is also against defense. I suppose there are less young people running to Canada now though.
