Had to take three cats and a bandaged dog to the vet today, plus a new opportunity has come up where I might actually write something and get paid for it. Still, I hope to get the series back on track tomorrow (it’s plotted in my head pretty far out, so it’s just a matter of getting it all down), and hopefully I’ll get some time soon to get myself a few chapters ahead again. Hope you continue to enjoy it despite the delays (really, how long did you think I could keep putting out one chapter a day?).
I wouldn’t mind waiting for Hellbender if I were a more patient Person.
Hellbender is cool, but I just reread Superego. If you could bring Rico into this story… well, let’s just say that would rock a whole bunch.

I have a question, the answer to which is entirely a matter of opinion, and I’d be greatly appreciative of the folks who post here to get their opinions.
I’ve got that $300 “stimulus” bribe coming and I figure the best thing to spend government money on is a new gun to defend myself from the government.
So….
What should I buy? I can afford to add another two or three hundred to the kitty and I’m looking for a 9mm.
I’ve got a couple picked out to look at but I’d really appreciate any advice from experience y’all might have to share.
So I guess if you’re getting paid to write, that means job security for a proof-reader somewhere?
Fuloydo – get a Kel-Tec 9mm for $300, or a Springfield XD for about twice that.
Springfield XD’s are Great. I’d recomend that.

Believe it or not, I actually get paid to teach Police Officers how to shoot (NRA LE Firearms Instructor). With that said, you really cant go wrong with a Springfield XD. I have two, both full size, 40 caliber. With handguns, the “fit” to your hand should be one of your deciding factors. Your ability to properly grip the firearm will determine your accuracy to a large degree.
