How about instead of figuring out who technically is or isn’t a journalist, we all just get the same rights?
It’s pretty hard to tell if the AZ law actually is bad through the hysterical overreactions.
I’ll believe Congress is serious about handling the cause of the financial mess when they all commit seppuku.
I can never tell high praise from mockery.
The easiest way to determine if someone is a journalist is to take a lip print and have the FBI compare it to those lifted from Baracks @ss for a match.
Hey! Black, Latinos, Native Americans, women, Muslims and gays have fought long and hard to have more rights than you. And now you just want to take them away?
Look at the source of these hysterical overreactions and comfort yourself with “Enough said.”
Wait until they shut the door behind you and listen for any snickering.
Marko, as usual, nails it. If so called progressives are freaking out, it’s a good thing. And it seems 60% of the nation approves of it according to polls, so it’s even more of a good thing. And I hope the fact so many people like it makes the progressives freak out even more, you just can’t get enough of a good thing.
I can never tell high praise from mockery.
When have you had the opportunity?
It’s pretty hard to tell if the AZ law actually is bad through the hysterical overreactions.
But Nanski Piglousi issued an edict that the “fog of disinformation” would be magically cleared after a law was passed so Amerikkan citizens could see what was in said law. This is just too confusing and makes it hard for me to keep up, but I’m starting to think it’s a right/left thingy.
“How about instead of figuring out who technically is or isn’t a journalist, we all just get the same rights?”
Journalists? You still believe in journalists? Time to give up on such childhood fantasies Frank.
Journalists.. able to leap over the truth like Dan Rather in a single bound.
Journalists.. faster than a speeding tingling Matthews.
Journalists.. more powerful than a New York Times National Security leak.
Look.. up Obama’s a@@, it’s a Byrd, it’s a Plame, it’s a Journalist.
Journalists deserve special rights. They are better than us. Just ask them.
But you’re clear on the difference between low praise and mockery?
Journalists are special. To understand journalists, you just need to answer a few questions:
1) Didja know any journalism majors in college? If so, what was your opinion of their intellectual abilities or the difficulty of the journalism major itself?
b) Were you ever a part of an event covered by the news? If so, did the reporters get all the facts right?
I don’t think congress can handle seppuku, because that involves arranging all those numbers, and their inability to grasp numbers caused the financial mess in the first place.
I have nothing to add. All the posts are excellent.
If libs are supposed to boycott AZ, what do they make there that WE would want to buy?
A quote of the day from Ayn Rand on Altruism:
Even though altruism declares that “it is more blessed to give than to receive,” it does not work that way in practice. The givers are never blessed; the more they give, the more is demanded of them; complaints, reproaches and insults are the only response they get for practicing altruism’s virtues (or for their actual virtues). Altruism cannot permit a recognition of virtue; it cannot permit self-esteem or moral innocence. Guilt is altruism’s stock in trade, and the inducing of guilt is its only means of self-perpetuation. If the giver is not kept under a torrent of degrading, demeaning accusations, he might take a look around and put an end to the self-sacrificing. Altruists are concerned only with those who suffer—not with those who provide relief from suffering, not even enough to care whether they are able to survive. When no actual suffering can be found, the altruists are compelled to invent or manufacture it.

Uh oh Puerto Rico …If your party is suddenly having trouble winning enough voters add new voters if it is having trouble winning enough states start adding new ones. Here comes the 51st state without debate or the American people having a voice on the matter. I will certainly look forward to being called a “racist” for opposing naked power grabs from the left and right. The more things “change” the more the stay the same.
I thought we all had the same rights or I did not read the US Constitution right.
Well if the Liberals are complaining about the law in the first place then doesn’t make it a good law.
Numbers and congress that doesn’t compute haven’t we figured this out yet.
If one is being roasted isn’t high praise and mockery the same thing.
