The whole Ground Zero mosque thing where liberals are convinced its bigotry to even for a second use any critical thinking whatsoever about a Muslim’s motivations is pretty odd. Most people when they hear some Muslims want to build a mosque as close as possible to ground zero would get a little suspicious — because that’s the rational response — but the liberals just clamped their hands over their years and yelled, “Bigotry!” over and over.
Here’s the liberal thinking as I see it. We had a bunch of Muslim terrorists kill thousands of people. So people, naturally are suspicious of Muslims, even though most Muslims in this country wouldn’t kill anyone. Thus, people want Muslims checked when they go on an airplane, but that’s discriminatory so we end up also checking 80-year-old white women just to be fair. And then the liberals comes along and says, “Know what would be really non-discriminatory? We don’t ever check any Muslims to really show them we trust them and only scrutinize 80-year-old white women.” And thus they lost the rational point in the symbolism — that there are a few Muslims we still need to scrutinize — but they’ll scream bigotry if you try and point that out to them.
So point is, as always, liberals are idiots and should never be listened to on any serious subject. Instead of national policy, put them in charge of decorations for the homecoming dance or something.

I agree that bending over backwards to appease the gods of political correctness at airport security is ridiculous and dangerous, but why is it “the rational response” to be suspicious about people who want to build a place to pray? That sounds like guilt by association – some Muslims did a horrible thing, so we should suspect some other Muslims are up to no good? What bad thing is going to happen if some Muslims start praying near the WTC? And don’t start talking about a mosque being a symbol of victory – these people had nothing to do with the attack, and a symbol only has as much power as you give it. Even if the mosque is meant to be intentionally offensive, Americans – and especially New Yorkers – should have thicker skins than that.
[If 70% of people are suspicious and you don’t see why, that makes you pretty stupid. As I said in the post you may have read, it’s a little suspicious they are trying to build as close to ground zero as possible. Doesn’t mean ill intent, but it’s worth a look. cknight, if these muslims have nothing to do with the 9/11 attack or the islamic jihad against infidels like me, then why will they not renounce known terror groups like Hamas or Hezbollah? Why do they not refuse money to build the mosque from those organizations or Wahabis? Why are they naming the project Cordoba after the mosque built on top of muslim conquered Spain? Why are they planning to open on the tenth anniversary of the attacks? Because they are exactly what we know them to be. They are attacking our freedom by using our freedom. If we stop them from building, then we are not tolerant of religious freedom, at least for Muslims, for now, and they win because they are martyred – ideolgically. If we let them build, they have their conquering mosque. Either way, we lose, in some people’s eyes. Their religious leaders use the tactic of lying to infidels to benefit Islam. Building this mosque is a statement by the global Islamic community, that they are superior to the infidels, who are powerless in the face of allah.
Here’s my thought of the moment on the ground zero mosque: If you want respect, don’t be a jackass.
Would it be a hate crime to spray paint a big cross or Star of David on it? How about a crescent and Star of David? That would really drive ’em nuts.
Anyway, it’s not gonna get built, ‘cuz New York’s own bunkerboy has a scathingly brilliant idea. It just so happens there’s a strip joint – New York Dolls – a couple of blocks away. Once construction begins, we pitch the idea to have said Dolls strut about the site wearing as little as legally possible, handing out flyers for said strip joint. Hardhats vs. strippers? I GUARANTEE nothing will get done!
Simple rule of thumb: If it’s bad for America, Democrats love it. If it’s good for America, Democrats oppose it. It’s really just that simple.

These people want to kill us and take over our land, rape our women, kill our men and subjugate our children. I know this because they’ve said so, on multiple occasions. Don’t believe me? Find one country that has allowed these people to immigrate that is not now having to fight to retain it’s culture. One country that in the past has managed to live in peace with the adherents of Islam it’s without enslaving, exterminating or obliterating the indigenous population.

If someone killed your mother and 20 years later when he was finally executed and he wanted to be buried next to your mother, would that simply be “it’s just not right” or would you maybe have a bit stronger…opinion?

cknight, instead of trying to post how you’re so much more intellectually enlightened than everyone else on the “humor blog” maybe you could actually read a book…like, say, the Koran or Hadith. Then you might actually learn something about the “religion of peace” you staunchly defend. You might be surprised to find that by page three of the Koran you’re already to be stoned to death and suffer an eternity in hell just for not being a Muslim. Or, you might be surprised to learn that it’s encouraged to lie to people like you about the intentions of the Muslim religions, and even go so far as to deny being a Muslim, since you not being a Muslim makes you no more than an animal and it’s perfectly acceptable to lie to animals. Muslims committed 9/11 in the name of Allah…not extremist radical fringe weirdos, but Muslims following the teachings of their religion. Entire Muslim countries partied in the streets when the towers fell…not just a few radical weirdos. The Koran doesn’t teach Muslims to “COEXIST”, it teaches that the goal of the Muslim religion is to wipe out every other religion and be the only religion. The only peace taught by their religion is peace with fellow Muslims. So, before you preach to the rest of us, simply read their “holy” books…then see if you still want to fight for the rights of these people to build their victory mosque, named after the original victory mosque erected on the site of a demolished synagogue.
So no, if you do any research at all you’ll discover that what they are attempting to do with the help of people like you is, in fact, “not right”.
