you know, Liberals are keen to point out that this isn’t a depression and it’s not as bad as the Great Depression of the 30’s because “there are no soup lines”. I’ve actually heard several liberals say this so it must be a talking point they picked up somewhere.
Well, it takes only a modicum of brain cells to put a big stinkin hole in that argument. You always see pictures of people lined up waiting for their “free” taxpayer-provided meal, and at least it’s not THAT bad…..right? Well, no. What we have today that we didn’t have then is FOOD STAMPS! Today instead of people waiting in line to get their free government handout, they can just sit on the couch and watch cable on their flat-screen TV while food stamps are delivered to their mailbox (via the USPS, another service that can’t seem to stop sucking public funds). In fact, the government just spent a whole bunch of my money to figure out how to “rebrand” food stamps and take away the stigma of using them. Under Obama, the number of Food Stamp recipients has doubled. How is this any different than people in soup kitchens? According to him, that means “the program is working”. In reality, it’s just a modern version of the soup kitchen and it’s hanging around Obama’s neck.
2012 isn’t about a clash of ideas, it’s about reality meeting rainbow defecating unicorns who are covered by Obamacare and protected by the New Black Panthers. It about calling good evil and evil good. It’s about class warfare. It’s about shackling (not chaining, I’m not Joe Biden) our children’s, children’s, children’s, children’s, children’s, children’s, children’s, children’s, children’s, children’s, with debt they’ll never be able to pay. It’s about whether America will continue to be that city on a hill or will it become an apostrophe on the dung heap of history.

Sheesh, even the unemployed wore suits. How far have we fallen?
