Can you still recall, not long ago,
We shared a national pride.
We toiled in a garden rich and ripe,
Blessed on every side.
It seemed the “very best of Earth”,
Within our borders would reside.
From the soaring peaks of our mountains,
To the glistening seas and bays,
Honest sweat and honest saving,
Made an Eden in our forbearers’ days.
And they NEVER did imagine,
It could ever go away.
Accursed was that day for our Union,
When “Progressives” came to rule.
They bore a whoresons smiling face,
But within were cold and cruel.
As they wielded horrible power and might—
Crass patronage* their tool.
The “liberality” of these crass sovereigns,
Quickly mounted a hideous toll.
The fisc* has been raped for socialism’s sake
And our people have lost their soul.
From “we can earn” to “we are owed”,
Our zeal was replaced by the dole.
We are “led” by Democrat Despots,
Who have forsworn their public trust.
They deny they owe us anything more
Than a government shackled in lust
For eternal power and unearned praise—
SO, STOP THEM NOW, WE MUST.
