A sea level rise of just 1 foot could cost America $200 billion. It’s time to #ActOnClimate: http://go.wh.gov/LLZ1Ag
“Which, not coincidentally, is a lot less than the cost of my proposed climate regulation.”

So it would cost basically “Loose change” as the Federal Budget is concerned.
“The cost of the pumps, alone, is staggering. And then there’s all the pipe to take that water way out to the middle of the ocean. We’d best get started.” @BarackObama
The ocean rises at 2MM a year, there are 300 MM in a foot, therefore, it will take 150 years for the ocean to rise “just” 1 foot.
Not to Mention, exactly what part of this country is ONE FOOT above sea level??? 100 feet inland from the average beach is higher than that. Does this guy know anything about…anything?
Meanwhile, in the real world, an increase in illegal immigrants of…..God only knows how many people every day is ALREADY costing America AT LEAST $2 billion every year, probably way way way more than that.
It’s funny how they pick and choose when it’s important that something costs people who work billions.
Not to mention that there is the distinct possibility that any “rise” may be land subsidence in the first place and the second place is that most “rise” claims are based upon poor science in regard to melting ice caps and the overall effect on the overall volume of water.
Also consider the fact that determining sea level itself is difficult, ’cause the sea is very rarely level.
