One item the article omits is the overt “borrowing” of the plot and character of the 1954 Charlton Heston movie, “Secret of the Incas” down to the fedora and leather jacket. This similarity was pointed out on the Ace of Spades podcast a few weeks back. You can watch Secrets Of The Incas on Amazon. Much slower than Raiders, to be sure, but a predecessor in style.
