A Term Not Only Used in Rio

Weirdly popular during the 2016 Olympic Games: “slum tourism” – where rich tourists travel around the most poverty-stricken parts of Rio de Janeiro.

Also, I’m pretty sure that’s also the Clinton campaign’s name for any stop outside of New York City.

  1. They determine which area is “most poverty-stricken” (as opposed to….?) by the number of Obama bumper stickers. It gets confusing though, on the one street where the non-most poverty-stricken people live, every car has one too.

At least they don’t have to worry about getting lost looking for them since no matter which way you go, you’ll find them.
