There’s a video up on The YouTube that lists ten famous people that never existed.
Now, is that What Culture dude correct? Were all those people fictional?
Better, do you have a list of fictional people? Or people who you wish were fictional?

Moderate Muslims? Rational Liberals?
Molly Pitcher is a reverse sort of case: she certainly existed, but perhaps as multiple humans. (… Or so I read somewhere. Can’t find it now.) Mary Ludwig Hays was a brave woman at one Revolutionary War battle who was known by that nickname, but so were, apparently, other women in other battles. It seems to have been a nickname, like calling a medic “Doc.”
What? Not Prester John too?!
I have quite a long list of people whom I wish were fictional:
the entire Clinton family
the entire Obama family
the residents of San Francisco, New York, Portland, and San Francisco
Upchuck Schumer
Al Franken
Kamala Harris
Rahm Emanuel
lawyers
the TSA
the EPA
