This is both the last and next-to-last post of the evening. Lemme ‘splain. No. There is too much. Lemme sum up.

I wrote this ahead of time. I usually do. So, I’m probably doing something else right now, maybe even sleeping. Got a busy day tomorrow. And, I need to set an alarm and get up around midnight or so and run an update on the blog. I always post an “Updating” notice, close comments, and other stuff to prevent problems with the update. That will happen. Then, after I’m done — it won’t take long — I’ll remove the “Updating” notice and this will again be the last post of the night.
So, for now, it’s Sunday Night Open Thread. Tell a joke. Share a story. Storm the castle. It’s up to you.
Who wants to start?

Wait. Is that midnight metric time or English time?
I’m trying to learn how to play guitar. Frustrating.
Just like typing with my thumbs on an iphone. I know what i want to do. My fingers just don’t agree.
Anyone following the ecomomy?

Commercial, real estate, auto… All dropping away… ala previous recessions.
Numbers don’t lie, Penny.
Ignore that man behind the curtain!
Numbers don’t lie. But people do lie about numbers
#1 son is off working on staff at summer camp and told us his sock packing skills are wanting. Aside from socks I’m trying to think of items to put in the package. He’s past the coloring and comic book stage of care packages so does anyone have some ideas about what to send?
Tuna
Cookies! (home-made, Toll House-style choc chip.)
Boys camp: jerky and/or slim jims
Co-ed camp: condoms
All good ideas. And jerky, I’ll go with jerky. I may even make it. My sister in law sent me a jalapeño Dr Pepper jerky recipe that I want to try.
Socks are good. Throw in an extra pair or two of plain white cotton socks. They can be worn under other socks if necessary, and are great for keeping feet clean and dry. Any soldier will tell you that. Might want to throw in a travel size foot powder. He will thank you each night after he takes his shoes off.
Anne Frank was born June 12, 1929. Keep her in mind every time you hear somebody demanding that a college, university, or municipality should get rid of its investments in Israel.
