New rule: to graduate from a public high school in Chicago, students will soon have to show that they’ve secured a job, or received a letter of acceptance to college.
I guess they can always get jobs with the city thinking up new useless paperwork for people to fill out. Or just get rich selling fake college acceptance letters.

Does making license plates count as a job?
What is the graduation rate there for the Guttersnipes?
A roadblock at the end of 12th grade… Another imminent liberal disaster of intended unintended consequences.
I foresee a tremendous amount of growth in the field of soldiering for the Crips.
Both of them?
Lemme see here.
To get a job, you need to get a high school diploma.
To get your high school diploma, you need to get a job.
Great job, Chicago!!!
What could go wrong?
I think your post pretty well sums up the situation. It’s like Catch 22…damned if you do, and damned if you don’t, with this ruling it’s quite obvious into which of his orifices Ram has inserted his head!
The city will just mandate that business cannot demand a HS degree for their employees. Duh.
To be followed shortly by, “business cannot demand useful labor from their employees”.
Think I’m joking? They’ve already done it for Government employees!
Think “Chicago teacher’s unions”.
