Reptilian predators. With snakes and alligators.
I hope they were here legally.
I found a monkey-fighting ball python on my kitchen floor a few weeks ago. After my heart re-started, we caught it (just a baby, 18 inches long), gave it some water, and discovered it was quite used to being handled. Ball pythons are not native to So Cal, and the low-humidity climate is not ideal for their survival (unlike, say, Florida), but no-one in the neighborhood will admit to having misplaced the little darling. Sigh.
