One of the grandsons is into Transformers.
He just turned five, and we had a party for him the other day. And, his favorite gifts were the Transformers toys.
Now, Transformers have been around for some time, but he’s not seen the old TV shows from way back. It’s those recent movies that has him all excited for Transformers.
I’m not sure if you’re as excited about Open Threads as my grandson is about Transformers, but we can still enjoy it, right? Because it is now Wednesday Night Open Thread, and it’s your turn to control the topic.
Who wants to start?

Was Abraham Lincoln really a Vampire Hunter?
No…he was a Democrat hunter, and we could use his expertise today.
double bacon to zz!
Did IMAO.us change some settings on the site? I use NordVPN, cuz screw letting Spectrum/TWC sell my browser history. I am not sure why, but I had to go through one of NordVPN’s Canadian servers to reach IMAO today. A couple of NordVPN’s US servers were blocked by IMAO.us. I hope this isn’t a permanent situation, as the Canadian servers are much slower.
On an unrelated note, I have not seen any of the Transformers movies. I just couldn’t imagine paying to watch two hours of Shia Labeouf (but I could watch Megan Fox with the volume muted). I do not understand what movie goers see in that guy.
We’ve made no app settings changes. Don’t know if the host (Hosting Matters) would have implemented anything, but I suspect not. Send me a screenshot.
Gregor Mendel, the Austrian monk who discovered fundamental laws of genetic inheritance, was born July 20, 1822.
There’s a lot to make fun of in the Transformers movies, but they did one important thing right that most movies forget: They have robots that turn into trucks. If you don’t know why that’s important, you are probably not now, nor have ever been, a five-year-old boy.
Before that, the only movie that had anything similar was Citizen Kane, and even then Rosebud only turned into a robot in the Unrated edition.
