Troy Gentry was killed today in a helicopter crash. “Gone” is one of my favorite country songs. Hell, even if his music were crap this is a sad thing. He will be missed.

I’ll miss Don Williams, too. I’ll never forget the first time that I heard “Good Ole Boys Like Me”, even though I’m about as far as you can get from being a good ole boy. That is one great song.
In other news, it’s Colonel Sanders’s birthday today! Harlan Sanders was born September 9, 1980.
So sad to see Don Williams has passed. He’s a friend of a friend (Garth Fundis) and his music feels like family.
