    I saw the original “Star Wars” in the theater, and I’m quite certain I never saw this piece-of-dreck advertising beforehand. As you say, if I had, I might never have bothered to see the film.

    I thought movie trailers were a little better, even back then. Think of the ads for “The Exorcist,” “The Omen,” or “Jaws,” for crying out loud. The trailers were intriguing.

    This? I don’t know what you’d call it. The closest analogy I can think of is a crumpled piece of paper on the floor of an ad agency being swept up by a maintenance man.

  2. Was that Peter Graves doing the voice over? Could he have been any LESS enthused? And like Oppo, I was going to films all the time in those days, and I never saw this trailer. It might have been shown in a galaxy far, far away, but never in ours.
