And it is not like he’s got binders full of women lying around.
But he should, say libs.
Yenmor!
(A reverse Romney)
If libs hated it a few years ago — when Republicans said or did it,
they now hate the opposite — when Republcans say or do it.
Obama mocked Romney for saying that Russians were the biggest threat to our country.
“The ’80s called, they want their foreign policy back,” he said, and the media cheered.
And Hollywood rocked with Glee.
“The ’80s called, they want their foreign policy back,”
Looks like they got it…along with Reagan. 🙂
“Don’t call my bluff,” argued Obama, the smartest man to ever occupy the White House. The media cooed responsively.
Trump looked at his cards and laughed.
Liberal Logic 101 links to The Babylon Bee almost daily. LL 101 used to provide a disclaimer, stating “This article is satire.” Some of the people commenting invariably reacted to the article as if it were a genuine news article. Liberal Logic 101 then began prefacing the first quoted sentence from Babylon Bee articles with SATIRE in all caps. Same result. The latest Babylon Bee article I saw linked on Liberal Logic 101 had the beginning SATIRE disclaimer, plus a full line of “SATIRE—SATIRE—SATIRE—SATIRE—SATIRE—SATIRE” after the first line, and before additional quotes from the article. Apparently, you CAN fool some of the people ALL of the time. People still reacted with the disgust and contempt appropriate for an accurate news story. (I do have to admit, however, that although the Bee makes up quotes and exaggerates a bit, some of the stories are actually accurate descriptions of leftist arguments and behavior – Zero Pinnochios, indeed.)
Yep — same thing can happen on FreeRepublic.
Populated by arguably well-read news consumers.
If a satire article from the Babylon Bee is posted, though, look out!
Ninety percent of the replies will be incensed at the content, not realizing that the content is satire.
Even putting “Satire” in the headline does not tamp it all down, and even the interjections of those in the know, explaining it’s all a joke, will not stem the tide.
Because liberals and Parody are so evenly matched in trying to fool people, because both keep moving the gull-posts.
