  1. It just occurred to me:

Has no one done a Kavanaugh Star Wars spoof starring Harassin’ Ford?

“He may not look like much, but he got tit where it counts.”

    Hand shot first!

“I got a bad feelin’ about this!”

South Carolina Officials Warn About ‘Flushable’ Wipes After Sending Divers Into ‘Raw Sewage’

      FOX | October 18, 2018 | Madeline Farber

Officials with the Charleston Water System in South Carolina were caught in a smelly situation last week. They had to send scuba divers roughly 80 to 90 feet down into “raw sewage” Thursday to clear heaping piles of wipes that clogged the system.

The Charleston Water System shared pictures of blackened masses on Twitter, warning residents wipes don’t really disintegrate, though the packaging may claim they’re “flushable.”

“You know wipes clog pipes, right? If not, baby wipes clogged a series of large pumps at our Plum Island Wastewater Treatment Plant on Thursday afternoon,” the Charleston Water System wrote on Twitter, adding “we worked 24/7 to get them out.”

Divers swam through “wet/raw sewage” in “complete darkness,” using their hands to find the source of the obstruction.

      • Something doesn’t quite add up.

People have been flushing wipes for years. They finally clogged the pumps last Thursday?

Also, this is not an issue in 49 other states.

I’m gonna guess the real problem is that someone at Plum Island has been blowing off the regularly scheduled Preventative Maintenance routines that would keep the pumps clear of wipes and other debris.

I’m also gonna guess that Maintenance at Plum Island is a union job (although that might just me be getting snippy)

      • Thankfully my problem was kitchen sink, on its own cast iron pipe. My problem was grease. Replacing the old line to the cast iron was a task. Not having a real plumbing supply house less than 45 miles away was a bitch. All is well, well the other side of the well supply. The well is good too, replaced the pump this spring. I miss going to work and relaxing, sigh.
