Devo. I have no idea why we watched and listened to them.
Well, not me. You. Well, maybe not you. But you know people.
What were those people thinking? Heck what are you thinking? Seriously, what are you thinking? We want to know. It’s Thursday Night Open Thread, and you pick what we talk about.
Who wants to start?

I will not be grouped with those who watched Devo.
I only saw the obligitory “We Are Devo” and “Whip It” travesties on MTV. One could not avoid them easily.
It’s like saying, “We all wore parachute pants. What were we thinking?”
That does not imply I was thinking anything.
Wait.
All of them look like Brett Kavanaugh.
He has an alibi for the night in question!
Mick’s favorite cover. We’re all Devo!
I never heard that arrant bullsh!t before. All I ever knew about Devo was the name, and the futuristic plastic.
The beginning was the end.
I guess I am in the distinct minority here in that I like DEVO and have seen them in concert.
“God made man, but the monkeys applied the glue.”
The old DEVO stuff was great! They influenced a lot of 80s music. After Freedom, they were kinda meh with a few good songs here and there.
Freedom of choice, is what you got.
Freedom from choice, is what you want.
Basil, you were teasing us with something about cake, I gathered, a couple of days ago. Give, s’il vous plait.
I’m guessing Dare, to be stupid from Weird Al tonight.
Cake was the band in the video I posted in last Thursday Night’s Open Thread. But, just to make you happy, I’ll eat some cake tonight. You eat cake too. Then we both win!
