Celeb Coiffeur Frédéric Fekkai Sells NYC Home for a Roughly $3M Loss
nypost.com | June 13, 2023 | Jennifer GouldEight years after first listing his Fifth Avenue duplex, celebrity hair stylist Frédéric Fekkai has finally sold it for $4.5 million — far less than its original asking price of $12 million.
He bought the home for $7.4 million in 2006.
The third- and fourth-floor duplex, at 953 Fifth Ave., was designed by Robert Couturier, and comes with a dramatic red-and-blue color scheme. At 3,500 square feet, it features four bedrooms and 4½ baths.
The home opens from a private elevator landing to an entry foyer that leads to a sunlit living room with a fireplace, moldings and three oversize casement windows overlooking Central Park.
There’s also a library with a fireplace and 18th-century chestnut wood paneling imported from Versailles, according to the listing, as well as a formal dining room with a fireplace and a table that seats 10. There’s even an eat-in chef’s kitchen with a butler’s pantry.

For 12 million I want ,at a minimum, a 150 yard free fire kill zone…no wonder it was sold at a loss..
Yeah but does it come with a S&M Room with all the bells and whistles?
Bells and whistles???
Damn, Gene, you’re into some freaky stuff.
Well it’s like the Realtors say…it’s all about location location location!
Sounds just a bit too loud..
Took quite a haircut there, buddy!
And his agent took a little off the top.
A Sign That You May Be Tipping Your Coiffeur Too Much:…
…He can afford TWO accent marks in his first name.
Well it was in NYC in 2023 so…
After changing his pronoun Mother Fekkai FAFO, trim offer accepted.
