Hey! I totally spaced on posting a Friday Night Open Thread! Well, here it is for a Saturday. Saturday, right? And I don’t think we work tomorrow. So it’s good for Sunday as well.
I think the Trump Desantis split never should have happened. Would have been a win, win with Trump President, Desantis Vice as a great back up. Shame really..from an outsider looking in..
A partnership like that requires trust. Unfortunately, Trump has proven himself untrustworthy. If he even suspects you of expressing even the slightest or most reasonable criticism of him he’ll turn on you viciously.
You are right – it could be a winning ticket. But if I were Desantis I would not trust my political future to someone as mercurial as Trump.
He actively opposed the senatorial campaigns of Jeff Sessions and Mo Brooks both of whom were frontrunners until Trump stepped in. Mike Pence stood by him stalwartly for 4 years only to be called a traitor for not saying the election was stolen. Those are off the top of my head. I’m sure I could find many more examples.

My neighbor decided we needed a new fence so we went halvesies with them. I took all the old 4x4s and decided to make a Kubb set (Viking Chess) with the lumber.
I sez to myself “myself” i sez: make it yourself and you don’t have to spend $75 for a store-bought set. A couple of trips to the hardware store foe this and that and all of a sudden I’m getting darn close to spending $75. Even after the re-used wood.
Washington States flag is a picture of George Washington. I think we should change it. It’s highly disgusting to have his face on the flag and his name on a state full of commies.
