  1. Gentle Reader,
It appears that I need to address which gifts are not appropriate for a baby shower. The purpose of the shower is to show support for the new mother, and to help provide her with some items that will help if caring for the child. Hot lead between the eyebrows at close range does not really meet this requirement. In the future, I would suggest something more along the lines of a baby monitor or maybe a few cute onesies.

  2. Gentle Reader,
When is it acceptable to draw your weapon at a social gathering? I would like to say, “Never!” But, unfortunately, in these times there are exceptions to this rule. While it is always a breech of etiquette to be the first one to draw a weapon, even if you see Nuke Twombly and he just shorted you big time on that last delivery. However, if another attendee has already pulled a gat, you may draw your own weapon in order to defend others, provided you follow proper gun safety etiquette (ensure you only target actual threats, make sure the backdrop is safe to avoid errant rounds striking bystanders, etc.)

  3. Gentle Reader,
It is generally frowned upon to invite the baby daddy to the baby shower when he has also fathered babies with other guests. It is always frowned upon to invite the baby daddy to the baby shower when the current lover is also present.
