Public Service Announcement

Hi guys and girls, we have girls posting here, right? In any event I wanted to let everyone know that Microsoft has effed my computer up royally. I upgraded to Windows 11 on Sunday and it has been down hill ever since. First it destroyed my audio. Nothig I can do can get it back. Now I keep having system crashes regularly. If I read “Oh snap” one more time I will freak. This morning I had 5 of them and it took me almost an hour and a half to get my computer running. This is going to necessitate the purchase of a new computer. When is a matter of conjecture at this point but it will be soon. Until then the problems my interfer with my regular feature posts. Sorry for the inconvenience but you can blame Bill Gates for me. Until then let us hope for the best. Cheers.

  1. That’s why I switched to Linux about a decade ago. I use Ubuntu. You can keep windoze & Linux on the same machine (dual boot) and at boot time select which operating system you want to use this time.
Never had driver issues. Any questions there is (literally) worldwide support available.
With very few exceptions Linux is totally free.
If you need an office suite look into libreoffice (again free) instead of paying m$ $200 for m$ office. Works on windoze & Linux.

  2. Could you imagine if other sectors did this? Your gas car downloads an OTA software update to protect it from being hacked, and also to maximize your battery usage and electric motor efficiency. Fuel injector drivers have been erased as an outdated feature. If your car no longer runs, it’s your fault for having outdated hardware.

The stores download new register software. The feature to input cash transactions and calculate change has been removed.
