This one amuses me, because after laying out the problem in stark terms, then noting that any of the popular “solutions” are worse than the actual problem, they end by claiming it’s important to keep pushing for the stupid solutions.

Anyway, my favorite part was the comparison between plastic bags and reusable cloth bags. Made me smile and laugh in a way that environmentalists would probably claim was “mean”.
And they’d be right.
Finally, help me out, old people… wasn’t the original pitch for plastic bags that they were cheaper, lighter, and took up less room in landfills than paper bags?
They used to be the responsible choice, as I recall…
I remember that plastic was going to save the environment as they are recyclable. Paper was on the way out because you had to cut down trees to make them. That was the big reasons as I recall.
