The only positive thing I see coming out of this whole mess is that the NATO nations that do not pay their fair share of NATO expenses (like Germany) might look at this situation and decide the USA can’t be trusted and that just maybe they should start paying their fair share as we can’t be trusted to carry their water for them if Putin ever gets to feeling his oats. Just maybe.
