TV’s “Debates” are the least reasonable way to learn candidates’ positions, morality, and thought processes. Good for soundbites and gotcha moments, maybe, but nothing else. You can always get those via social media the next day.
And don’t pick on JarJar in this context — He’s much more coherent than our current vice president.
The only thing more pointless than debates, especially when Me GYN Kelly is involved, are polls that claim that asking 1000 people a question translates to what x% of 300 million people think, aka, all of them.
I can’t imagine that any candidate will have anything new to reveal in any further debate that would cause me to have to watch them live to hear about it.
83% of Rebublicans refuse to watch any debate without Trump. Sounds suspiciously close to the percent that wouldn’t watch a debate WITH trump. I suspect “Trump” is the independent factor in this statistic and “Debate” is the dependent factor.
I guess I’m part of the 17% that refuses to watch them at all
…oddly enough the actual viewership of the debate was on-par with the other debates…so that should tell you something about polls.
I’m with c64wood, though. I learned everything I needed to about the debate process at the 1st one.
Every reported poll result should begin “[X]% of people with nothing better to do than respond to polls say…”
I’m with c64wood also.

You’re all wrong!
Debates are similar to junior high school popularity contests. They’re fantastic for glibly picking the one “you like.”
