Making death safer
Georgia is in trouble with the DEA. The feds have seized Georgia’s supply of thiopental, which is one of the drugs used in the state’s lethal injection procedure.
It all began when customs held up a supply of thiopental in Memphis last summer. Seems some states, including Georgia, went and got some more from another source. Only that source, which the state identified as Link Pharmaceuticals, a British company (which was bought by Archimedes Pharma Limited around 5 years ago), isn’t FDA approved.
Last month, lawyer John Bentivoglio wrote a letter to Eric Holder complaining about how the state got the drug. Bentivoglio wrote Holder on behalf of death row inmate Andrew Grant DeYoung, who killed his parents and teenage sister back in 1993.
Now, the DEA has seized the state’s supply of drugs.
Something similar happened in Arizona last year, and the Supreme Court gave the state the go-ahead to use its supply of drugs. Two days later, Arizona executed the inmate in question.
Anyway, some people are all upset that one of the drugs that Georgia uses to kill people might not be safe.
This is one of those things that, a few years ago, would have been a story in the Onion or some other satiric source.

Next thing you know, someone will be complaining about how the lead in bullets causes lead poisoning so we need to ban bullets.

Eric Holder don’t play with buying drugs. Well, unless you buy them on the black market. He does have some homies in Atlanta you can “hook up” with. Ask for Cousin Pookie, tell him you know a guy who knows his Barry.

I think that the state of Georgia should test their supply of thiopental on John Bentivoglio. If he lives, then the state has to get a supply from somewhere else.
If he doesn’t, the state can execute the man who killed his parents and sister, and, just as important, there will be one fewer lawyer, plus the rest of the lawyers will think twice about taking frivolous actions like this.

They already are pushing lead-free bullets. Many indoor ranges allow only lead-free bullets. There have also been many attempts to make our armed forces switch to lead-free, because we are poisioning every country we ‘liberate’.
I say we test the thiopental on progressives, to make sure it is safe. Its the only way to be sure.

You mean the drugs used to give lethal injections aren’t safe? Like, you might die from them? It’s an outrage!
Actually, I think it’s very thoughtful of them to swab the spot where they stick the lethal injection with alcohol. Hate to see him develop an infection, right?

There’s been a lot of those stories over the last 2 years, which seem more like 20 years with our Lampost-In-Chief running things into the ground.

So, the thiopental is substandard and the turkey is left there floppin’ and twitchin’ on the table. I don’t see a problem with this. Finish the job with the cast iron skillet. Bonus.

Well, maybe the drugs won’t go to waste. If it’s not safe or humane to be used killing brutal murderers, libs can always use those drugs to kill their own unborn babies…there’s much less concern regarding how that’s done.

I read about this story on yahoo news. I was pleased to see that most of the comments were along the lines of “just buy some bullets and shoot the **** *****er”.

I think they just need to go back to hanging them at high noon in the town square. Saves a lot of money and trouble and if you require the children to attend it makes a great object lesson.

Stories like this really challenge me and help me realize that Eric Holder isn’t useless like I thought. Eric Holder serves a very important purpose: he makes Janet Napolitano look less stupid and incompetent (even if only very slightly).

ATLANTA – State Corrections Commissioner James Donald has asked the Georgia Bureau of Investigation to find out how three death row inmates were able to plan an escape attempt at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson.
Andrew Grant DeYoung, Michael Wade Nance and David Scott Franks – all convicted killers – accumulated a number of items, including saw blades, cash, welding material and a map of Georgia. They cut through wall air vents in their cells and slipped into a passageway.
The plan was foiled when officers at the prison pulled a string attached to one of the vents, causing it to come apart and reveal the opening.

I have a steel hammer. Steel is a fine mineral when applied to the skull with much force several times. It would solve all their problems!!! I’m willing to donate it. I have them in ball ping, finish work, standard, framing and sledge hammer models. They can pick. No charge including shipping! I also have a fine steel knife that would sever the juggler vein quite nicely…

Just put them to sleep with a mild sedative, have the attending doctor declare them dead (wink-wink) and scoot them into the next room for a quick ‘autopsy’ and organ-harvesting session. These brutes could save a few lives on their way out to make up for the lives they took. They’ve been getting 3 square meals a day for twenty years so they should be plenty healthy. Then feed whats left to the prison guard dogs. It’s the ‘green’ thing to do!

How about we inject them with 78.09% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.039% carbon dioxide? Would Holder confiscate all of that mixture in Georgia?
