4of7 of Little Worlds has been kicking around the idea of giving out an “award” of sorts to people who inspire him to create one of his awesome drawings, but he’s a little unsure on what it would look like
Although he’s tentatively decided to call it the “Musey”, which I think is perfect.
Anyway, here’s a pitiful mock-up of the direction I would suggest for it:
With the stock-photo light bulb image being filled by some Little-World-style artwork.
If 4of7 decides to go this route, I would suggest that if he wants this to be displayed on a blogger’s sidebar, the final design should look good at a width of 200 pixels, so probably don’t do one of those billion-line detailed works. Something a little blockier, maybe.
… with Bulginess! and a penguin.
Very artistic, Harvey! When I first scrolled down, I thought it was one of his designs.
reminiscent if Bush’s 1000 points of light…not sure how I feel about that.
Isn’t it a crime to use those light bulbs now? Change it to one of those curly fries light bulbs before you’re accused of a though crime.
mmmmmmm…curly fries. those are still legal right?
@3 – Oddly, I’ve noticed that while 100 watts bulbs are a crime, it’s still ok to sell oversized 150 & 200 watt bulbs, as well as 3-way bulbs like 50-100-150.
I can’t wait until some marketing genius starts selling 101 watt bulbs. I’ll buy a case.

@6 – I’d recommend against including a penguin in the final design, because Kevin Koastie is a separate franchise from the “Little World” drawings. Too early for a mashup. Wait until after both brands are established.
Maybe a penguin-shaped light-bulb award for inspiring a Kevin Koastie cartoon…

@12 – As far as I know, it’s still going to be a “Musey”. I really liked that, too. Of course, it’s 4of7’s award, so he can call it whatever he likes.
Oddly, 4of7 has yet to chime in on any of this. I’ll assume he’s pondering…

Yes, I think “Musey” is the right name for the award, and I like your idea for the caption, “I inspired a Little World” as well.
It’s shorter and more to the point than my first suggestion. Bacon to you, sir!
I’ve done round, oval and egg shaped designs before, but a never a light bulb shaped one – I accept the challenge!

And it will be an incandescent bulb – not only are those curly-fries bulbs almost impossible to draw, but promoting incandescent bulbs is now a form of civil disobedience and we can never have too much of that, right?

@4of7: I may be wrong, but if you turn a lightbulb upside down, you’ve got a basic penguin shape.
.. no, I must be wrong, because that would make a penguin an “invert”abrate, which is clearly wrong.
