  1. IMAO is pretty much the only place I specifically go for news…anything else is stuff someone told me or I just happened to see walking by a TV or newspaper.
My sister told me about this earlier today, but there are a lot of times where I see something on IMAO and say “What are they talking about?” and then have to get context.

  2. I do not think it is a coincidence that Gerald Ford died the day after the Godfather of Soul did. I think Gerry just couldn’t bear the thought of not be able to party with the hardest working mang in show bidness. Rock in Peace Gerry and James!

  3. Fare thee well, Mr President. You were never appreciated when you were alive.
Now the Drive By Media is heaping praises on him. The hypocrisy of these people is amazing. I would that they be honest, even in death.
Of course they can’t be honest. They wouldn’t know honesty if it walked up to them stark naked and kiss them on the nose. A perfect example of why these people can’t be trusted to report on anything more important than a dog catchers report.

  4. …and now they’re really going to get into it saying that he opposed the Iraq invasion. Which of course is alright with me. The thing they don’t get is, it’s not that you disagree that we think is wrong, it’s what you do about it.
I probably should’ve put this in my earlier comment, especially since it further illustrates the point I was making there, but I don’t know what the Wellstone funeral was.

  5. speaking of kos… if you watch the Colbert Report you would have shouted in anger (like me) to see that he gave the site air time by showing a screen shot on his show. That’s not a good thing. Maybe he is just paroding what I believe…

  6. Bgrx,
What Lair is referring to is when Senator Paul Wellstone of Minnesota died. Instead of “paying their respects,” the democrats turned it into a HUGE political rally, trashing the president and the US, and making speeches. It was disgusting, really.
