I like the whole controversy with the Democrats having thrown all their American flags into a dumpster. Of course, the Democrats said they weren’t throwing the flags into a dumpster; that was a “respectful flag storage unit.” They were just storing the flags there along with their used tissues and coffee grounds. What would you expect though if you give Democrats a bunch of flags? Sure, they’ll wave it when the cameras are on them, but there hearts are not going to be in it. They don’t really like America as its filled with Americans like Sarah Palin. In fact, it’s the only country inflicted with such people. Too chicken to leave the country, they’re only here because they’re stuck here. So, after the cameras go away, how is the flag anything but trash?
My favorite was the actual comment that the DNC threw out there on Saturday about the McCain Campaign simply “Taking the leftover flags.” That is believable, I always store my leftover American Flags in green trash bags.
AJ – The DNC seemed to drop that line pretty quick as nobody – including their MSM pals – could repeat it with a straight face.
Why in the world would you expect Dems to embrace the good old red, white and blue when those colors don’t go well at all with their traditional yellow streaks?
I don’t understand why they don’t all move to Canada. I hear it’s pretty easy to become a citizen.
After all, they alreay have high taxes, government healthcare, no guns, no military to speak of, and since the earth is warming up, soon Canada will have some nice surfing weather on the coasts. Sounds like a perfect plan!
I was at the McCain rally in Michigan last Friday nice slideshow here. They handed out maybe a few thousand flags and signs. I did not see ONE FLAG left behind. Maybe we can test the Democrats by handing out stuff at the rallies and see what they leave behind. How many Che Guevara signs you’d think get left behind??
Democrats advocate throwing many things into dumpsters besides ordinary garbage (like dead aborted babies?). But not glass bottles, cans or plastic. Oh, nooooo. Call the garbage police! Issue that citation. Be a good citizen and ‘recycle.’
But, American flags? – eh – if you seen one, you’ve seen ’em all. Put ’em in trash bags on the floor and then throw ’em out later. After all, they’re just temporary symbols of party unity made out of fabric. They’re not good for anything else. They mean nothing to party members – and they’re not “recyclable.” So, the garbage police don’t get called.

I agree with PammyV – they should just move to Canada like they did in the ’60s. The only difference between the lib vision for a “changed” America vs. Canada is that there the obnoxious people speak French and here they prefer Spanish.

How uncreative can the unDemocrats be? They tried to trash a huge pile of fresh new American flags used at the unDemocrat convention. As green as the lefties claim to be it appears the Republicans trump them in the recycling arena as they were the ones to reuse the aforesaid flags.
The ironic thing is that the unDemocrats had a sure thing going. This trashing of the flags was the singularly least creative thing I have seen so far this year,. What with ebay someone could have sold the flags touting the true fact that they were straight from the Dem convention. This is why they can not be trusted to run the country. Those flags could have been turned into gold. Instead they are a P.R. nightmare because they demonstrate the Dems are nothing but hot air on environmental issues.

We’re already saddled with legions of socialist politicians, activists, and cowardly “American” deserters fleeing justice, and you want to send us more? Send them to Mexico or something! Or better yet, send them to their lovable misunderstood allies in the tribal areas of Pakistan!
For all their supposed reverence for the American flag, it’s interesting that they managed to hold onto all of their old Soviet flags, rather than lovingly storing them in the trash.

PammyV — That sounds like a great plan, except for one small detail: all the sensible Canadians are far too patriotic to abandon their home and native land to the clutches of socialists! Maybe you guys can lend us Sarah Palin for a while, and straighten things up around here — after all, she’s practically Canadian herself, being from Alaska and all.
We’ve got another election coming up, with the Conservative party likely to win a proper majority. Mind you, up here “Conservative” means “slightly to the left of John McCain, though not as far left as Lieberman”, but still, it’d be better than nothing…

Hi. I put the flags in those bags because we were going to let George Bush come autograph them later. You know how likes to scrawl his name all over the flag in huge letters.
It is kind of surprising they didn’t hold on to these flags. When they pass out flags for third world nutcakes to burn, they’re going to have to buy new ones.
I was at the McCain-Palin rally in Colorado Springs on Saturday, and it gave us great satisfaction to be waving the flags that the Democrats were ready to throw away! 🙂
