    I rather suspect they will, Mr. President. After Nov 2, it will be very popular for Republicans to continue voting against ANYTHING you propose just because YOU proposed it. You’re not going to get away with pulling a Bill Clinton and taking credit for Republican measures passed by Congress.

  3. This guy is a whole new level of brilliant: each thing he says is more arrogant than the last, and that speaks to a real talent for smugness and disdain. Then again, I’m white so it’s probably just the racist in me that thinks this. Besides, you’d think we’d just say thank you.

  4. I once saw an interview of Ned Beatty and he was asked if he found doing that scene to be embarrassing. His answer was that it wasn’t so bad for him…but it was pretty bad for his stand-in as he (the stand-in) had to do it several times while the director set up the scene
