This sort of crap was bound to happen when we stopped calling the Department of War by a proper name. Defense is an inherently less aggressive and more passive phrase than War; in the modern Western world that leads to spending the people’s money for idiotic reasons. Also, the half-brain liberal twit mentality found within such departments invariably finds a way into the military itself.
Chesty Puller was right (As always!) about those people. But we were too smart to listen to Chesty. Look at the results.
Notice the quote from the Corps of Engineers. It seems we need to make the Corps of Engineers and Corps of Engineers rather than a Corps of Wasting Money On Bullcrap. Ah!
And their property taxes… and the sales tax on their products… and the payroll tax… God forbid, after all that, they should actually manage to turn a PROFIT!… better tax that too…
As the owner of a Sub Chapter S Corporation I say FINALLY someone got it right! Although, I have to admit my tax guy always seems to have me making about 1/2 of what I actually made by the time my taxes are calculated which works for me!
We pay corporation’s taxes when we buy stuff from them.
Everything you buy in the store includes corporate taxes.
Every little part of everything you buy that that corporation bought from another corporation includes corporate taxes.
Every…
Last time I checked, the average tax payer was taxed at over 50% when you include the ‘trickle-down tax’.
Figure it for yourself. Go to irs.gov, find the statistics for last year. Total ALL the taxes collected, divide by the number of PERSONAL income tax filings, and divide the average taxable income by that number. Pain.
All corporate taxes do is help keep the playing field uneven. Big Companies like having a morass of tax law. They pass it on of course, but it serves to hedge out the small start up companies that might become competition.
Notice that as we ease into the 2012 re-election campaign, and despite poll numbers in the gutter, all the mainstream press are still talking about “what it would take for Obama to lose” instead of “what it would take for Obama to win”?
Watched a documentary on the History channel the other night about Nazis, in which they actually stated that when Hitler joined the “German Worker’s Party” (just before changing its name to the National Socialist German Worker’s Party) he found that the part was “extremely right wing.” Do liberals even know what the term “conservative” even means, or do they just think it’s anything that could be considered evil?
It’ll sure be neat when some of us get to sit around with our grandkids someday and tell them the stories of the days when you didn’t even need a license to jog. But then again, they won’t believe us anyway.
Hey-O, has everyone forgotten that the prob with corporate income taxes is that their profits get taxed twice? Their profits get taxed, and then their distributed profits, usually in the form of dividends, get taxed again. To argue that corporations pay their taxes from the income of their employees is to say that corporate expenses (which are already counted against profits) should count as a taxes as well. That type of accounting works if your CEO is giving Obama big wet sloppy kisses and if the name of your corporation is G.E.
That said, I’d argue for elimination of either the corporate income tax or the dividend tax and capital gains tax. Eliminating the corporate income tax would put US based companies on a more equal footing with fereign companies.
Imperialist capitalist pig running dog stooge!

Yes, but the fact that you HAVE TO HAVE a tax guy in the first place is ridiculous. [This is a commentary on the tax code, not your aptitude.]

Smokey says, “Remember, only YOU can pay taxes!”
Repeal the 16th Amendment.
How’s that for a random reply?
#7 beat me to it. Corporations don’t pay taxes already. They just collect them from their customers for the gub’ment.
Or they could just be GE.
