* Didn’t really get this whole Humberto Leal thing. If one of our citizens went to another country and raped and murdered someone, could you see America making a big stink about the guy’s rights? I mean, no one is saying the guy is innocent, but we’re supposed to care after what he’s done that he didn’t get to talk to a consulate? What was the consulate going to say to him? I hope it would be, “DON’T RAPE AND MURDER PEOPLE!” And when we see the Mexican government doing all they can to help rapists and murderers, it’s not really great PR for the country. They really want to spend more time highlighting the non-rapists and non-murderers. Still, just before dying from lethal injection, Leal shouted, “Viva Mexico!” So they won over one guy.
* So you know how the Democrats have made the Koch brothers their new Emmanuel Goldstein, making them the center of all that’s bad since blaming Bush isn’t working anymore? Well, Democrat Senator Patty Murray still thought she’d send them a fundraising letter asking for a five figure contribution. Two things:
1. How do you know when a liberal doesn’t fundamentally care about something? Answer: They get really worked up about it. Because the only thing liberals get worked up about is partisan nonsense, and it never involves any fundamental beliefs at all. Blaming everything on the Koch brothers — or Bush or Palin — is just a game to them.
2. As I keep pointing out, the U.S. Senate is filled with the dumbest, most useless people in all of America. You could replace them all with crackheads and improve the quality.
* So apparently $10 million of stimulus went to Project Gunrunner. I really wondered how exactly one could spend as much money as Obama did and not create any jobs, but that’s because apparently to him arming Mexican criminals = stimulus. I guess that would create some jobs in crime scene cleanup, but a lot of that was in Mexico. Really makes you wonder where all the rest of the $666 billion in stimulus ended up, but Obama has guaranteed that less than 25% of that money went towards murdering us.
But he’s been known to bend the truth.
* Tim Scott brought up the idea of impeaching Obama if he ignores the debt ceiling. Two things (things always come in twos):
1. I don’t see Obama doing that, because then he’d own the debt and couldn’t blame Republicans at all. He’s too much of a coward for that.
2. Impeachment, as we know, is messy. I’d rather just bully the impotent Obama for a year or so more and wait for the election and just make it clear that, if he’s reelected, then we will impeach him.
* IN THE MAIL: Friend of IMAO, Brian J. Noggle, has a novel out called John Donnelly’s Gold. It’s available on Kindle here and in paperback here.
* Wisdom of the Day: “The NAACP has blasted CNN for a lack of diversity. CNN should blast the NAACP for the same thing.” –Jim Norton

“Didn’t really get this whole Humberto Leal thing.”
It has something to do with the Constitution that we have, and how the courts in this country are supposed to conduct trials, and rule, based solely on the guidelines set forth in the Constitution, whereas Obama thinks the Constitution is merely a ridiculous obstacle to a proper monarchy that should be trashed anytime the United Nations says it should.
Interesting read here: The Supreme Court telling Obama to shove his stay of execution for his child rapist/murderer friend. http://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/10pdf/11-5001.pdf
One glaring problem. Why does the part of this ruling written by the dissenting judges (all libs, of course, two of which were just put on the court by Dear Leader) not once mention the US Constitution as playing a part in their decision?
TOUCH OF EVIL starring Charlton Heston’s ghost as a Mexican, Sarah Palin as his wife, and Barack Obama as an even more diabolical Hank Quinlin.
The rest of the Stimulus went to Democrats for Campaign money! It was called a Stimulus because they all got boners when the cash arrived. Especially the women democrats!
Over on the grassy knoll, we are surmising that Project Gunrunner was a deliberate attempt to push gun control by demonstrating the tragedies that happen when guns are freely available in the US. The only way to keep automatic weapons out of the hands of Mexican drug lords is to keep them out of the hands of US citizens. Makes perfect sense.
@Crabby Old Bat – but now we know that only way to keep automatic weapons out of the hands of Mexican drug lords is to keep them out of the hands of ATF and DOJ.
Too late, DamnCat. Most Federal departments are now armed.
HQ’s DNC: Before the Two Minutes of Hate had proceeded for thirty seconds, uncontrollable exclamations of rage were breaking out from half the people in the room. The thought of Bush produced fear and anger automatically. But what was strange was that although Bush was hated and despised by everybody, although every day and a thousand times a day, on platforms, on the telescreen, in newspapers, in books, his theories were refuted, smashed, ridiculed, held up to the general gaze for the pitiful rubbish that they were–in spite of all this, his influence never seemed to grow less. Always there were fresh dupes waiting to be seduced by him. A day never passed when spies and saboteurs acting under his directions were not unmasked by the Thought Police. He was the commander of a vast shadowy army of gun owners, an underground network of Bible toting conspirators dedicated to the overthrow of the State. The Tea Party, its name was supposed to be. There were also whispered stories of a terrible book, a compendium of all the heresies, of which Bush was the author and which circulated clandestinely here and there. It was a book without a title. People referred to it, if at all, simply as THE BOOK. But one knew of such things only through vague rumors. Neither the Tea Party nor THE BOOK was a subject that any ordinary Democratic Party member would mention if there was a way of avoiding it…..With apologies to George Orwell
And when we see the Mexican government doing all they can to help rapists and murderers, it’s not really great PR for the country.
It is when they can say: “Don’t worry, we have no rapists and murderers here, we sent them all to America!”
@Son of Bob “One glaring problem. Why does the part of this ruling written by the dissenting judges (all libs, of course, two of which were just put on the court by Dear Leader) not once mention the US Constitution as playing a part in their decision?”
Why is the U.S. constitution even involved. This is not a federal matter. The federals courts should have had no jurisdiction what so ever. A real American governor would have told osama to mind his own business. The crime was committed in Texas, he was convicted in Texas, and he was wisely executed in Texas. 17 years late, but none the less. The Texas governor’s big mistake was to wait for the feds to say anything at all. Remember people, the marxists on the supreme court wrongfully interpreted the 14th amendment to mean that the feds have a say in everything. The 14th amendment wasn’t even legally ratified. And nowhere does the amendment say that states no longer have a say in their laws.
The State Department’s logic goes like this: If we don’t release him, then other countries won’t respect the right of our nationals to consular access. The fact that we must release a man who “…kidnaped 16-year-old AdriaSauceda, raped her with a large stick, and bludgeoned her to death with a piece of asphalt” is simply the price we must pay to get along with other countries.
My logic goes like this: Send him to The Mercy Seat for a slow, slow burn. The other part of my logic goes like this: If our nationals are illegally detained by other countries, we will stomp them. Oh, and then part three of my logic goes like this: If we do release the b*st*rd, there is zero chance that this would actually improve relations with any country.
How about we change it from “Nude the News” to “My Head Hurts”?
Just a technical correction — Senator Murray apparently sent the Koch Bros. not a letter, but a voicemail solicitation.
She’ll probably claim it was a simple mistake — employed a voice double from a unionized call center in Islamabad.
Nude the News! Nude the moon while we’re at it. Nude the feral government. I’m all about transparency.
How do you know when a liberal doesn’t fundamentally care about something? Answer: They get really worked up about it.
True dat.
If one of our citizens went to another country and raped and murdered someone, could you see America making a big stink about the guy’s rights?
I know, I’m a jerk, but uhhh… Amanda Knox. No rape and no death penalty, but murder most foul and peeps are making a big stink about her rights.
Good song Burma Shave.
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds.
No appeal, no consulate, no commutation. Hey Hummberto say hello to Osama for me as I won’t be able to do so myself.
@plenty, Since the ruling from the Supreme Court majority was basically that they have no business intervening, and that they’re not going to, I’m actually okay with the majority ruling…it’s the minority (the libs…) that felt that they should immediately intervene, all based on adhering to “international law,” whatever the hell that even truly means. However, the only purpose the Supreme Court serves is to rule on the Constitutionality of a suit brought before them…so, one would think that Breyer and the other communists would at least take the time to try to reference the Constitution in their argument regarding why it was supposedly their place to intervene.
The worst part about four Supreme Court justices having less regard for the Constitution and the Flag of the United States than the Confederate States of America is that I’m not surprised they have such ill regard for said manifestations of American liberty.
Obama also stimulated right wing politics in America, he was the kick up the behind right wingers needed!
Why are there photos of Leal Garcia all over the place, and no photos of his victim?
I’ve quoted you (with commentary) and linked to you here: http://consul-at-arms2.blogspot.com/2011/09/re-nuke-news-only-thing-obama.html
