Nuke the News: Democrats Don’t Think Much of Women

* People are stepping all over the Democrats “War on Women” idiocy. First, we have this idiot Hilary Rosen going after Ann Romney for being a stay at home mom who raised five children. The mere existence of stay at home moms is seen as a direct insult to some women. Some women have to work because of their situation while others choose to, and those who choose see the others who chose to stay home as direct slight against them saying they didn’t care enough about their children to give up their careers. At least that’s my best guess on the psychologically, as there is some intense bitterness out there. It’s like the fact that Sarah Palin brought her son with Down syndrome to term was seen as a direct slight against the abortion proponents who have caused most such children to be killed before birth. Sometimes merely existing is seen as a political statement.

Also, Romney has begun pointing out Obama’s anti-women policies, such as the fact that 92% of job losses while Obama has been president have been from women (though fact checkers are trying to spin that, because apparently that’s the job of “fact checkers”). Also, the Obama White House is apparently paying women a lot less than men. The Democrats like to pretend to care about women when it’s politically convenient, but if any woman’s fate doesn’t help at the polls, she can drown in a car for all they care.

* Obama tried to claim that Ronald Reagan would have supported the pointless “Buffet Rule” that Obama has been wasting all his time on, but the statement Obama made was really weird.

“Let me be clear, Ronald Reagan would support me in– AHH! A MYSTICAL FORCE JUST PUNCHED MY IN THE JUNK!!”

* George Zimmerman has been charged with murder. That seems like it will be hard to prove, because who, before committing murder most foul, calls up the police to tell them what he’s up to? Anyway, biggest winner in Zimmerman being arrested and tried is the media. If you can’t have justice, at least have a circus. Everyone loves circuses.

* Buzz Aldrin, the first man named “Buzz” on the moon, and other astronauts and NASA officials have signed a letter telling NASA to stop being political about global warming. Once NASA got men on the moon, now they do nothing but whine about stuff down here and can’t even get people into orbit anymore. Whining destroys things; avoid it wherever you can.

* Wisdom of the Day from Jim Geraghty:

Strange how “the Mormon Church’s troubled history of race relations” never comes up in coverage of Sen. Harry “No Negro Dialect” Reid.

* Alan West says there are a lot less Communists in Congress than you thought.

  1. So, Obama’s Hilary Rosen makes a stupid comment about Ann Romney choosing to stay-at-home and raise her kids instead of working fulltime, and Barack Hussein thinks he’s going to come off as a “regular folk” when he says about Michelle that ‘We Didn’t Have the Luxury for Her Not to Work’

Perhaps at some point 40-something year old Barry should have gotten a job?

  2. Al Gore on 60 minutes, referring to those who are skeptical about man-made global warming:

“I think those people are in such a tiny, tiny minority now with their point of view. They’re almost like the ones who still believe that the Moon landing was staged in a movie lot in Arizona and those who believe the world is flat.”

Uh, Al, would that tiny, tiny minority include the likes of lunar astronaut Buzz Aldrin, lunar module pilot and physicist Walter Cunningham, lunar astronaut and geologist Harrison Schmitt, astronaut flight designer Michael Collins, and chief flight dynamics division engineer, Dr. Kenneth Cox?

  4. Hilary Rosen: “Let’s put the faux ‘war against stay at home moms’ to rest once and for all.”

So, umm…you start a war, then when it backfires and doesn’t go the way you’d hoped, you’re the one calling it a “faux war” and telling the rest of us not to talk about it anymore? Wow, it must be awful to live inside the mind of a liberal.

  5. according to liberals:

Sara Palin getting a job while raising 5 kids was “irresponsible” and mean she was a bad mother.

Ann Romney NOT getting a job while raising 5 kids, on the other hand, makes her ignorant and a bad mother.

Wasn’t it the feminists that demanded that we recognize raising kids and running a house as work?

On the other hand…Michelle worked as a “consultant” (translation: lobbyist) for a company that supplies WalMart and Target, some of the biggest un-unionized employers in the country. Although she “cut ties” with them when her husband started running for high profile public offices, she still found time to stage a photo-op at a Target store where she apparently wanted people to think she shops regularly.

If that’s the alternative, I’d rather have the President married to a dedicated homemaker than one married to a lobbyist…even though I have no problem whatsoever with Target or Walmart. I buy ammo at Walmart on a regular basis in fact and my wife does most of our grocery shopping at Target and Walmart because of their better prices and nicer workers. However, the apparent conflict of interest and the obvious impropriety and attempt to hide the fact that companies are paying you to lobby your husband just stinks. Why do you think such a comminust administration has all but left Target and Walmart alone? The Clinton administration didn’t – they stoked plenty of hatred towards Walmart….the Obama administration on the other hand completely quiet on the subject.

  6. for me it wasn’t just what she said, but the absolute contempt and conceit with which she said it. There was NO mistaking how far beneath her she thought Ann Romney was. Usually liberals try to hide their sense of superiority, she just couldn’t help herself.

  7. “Let’s declare peace in this phony war and go back to focus on the substance.”

Wow, ‘she’ actually admitted there’s a phony ‘war’ (that they created) the trouble is, they’ve started so many, I’m not sure which one she means.
