Link of the Day: Is This Gun Cool or Silly?

[High Praise! to Gun Free Zone]

My opinion on Taurus The Curve: A gauntlet has been thrown

Personally, I’m not sure about the curved grip, but I do like the built-in flashlight and laser sight.

  1. Did you notice it’s got a clip? This plus the curved shape suggests it was designed to be clipped to a belt and to be comfortable and discrete. Is it a gun or a cellphone? I like the laser sight also. I wonder if it works like a modern camera, in that pressure on the trigger turns on the light, and then you pull harder to fire? The fact of the matter, is that before anybody could make a real decision they’d really have to try it out.

  2. Nah, there is a button on the right side waaaayyy up at the front, I don’t know if it turns on both laser and light or how that works.

I note that quite apart from any other flaws, it doesn’t have iron sights whatsoever and that’s the end of the discussion for me. I’ll not trust my life to a battery.

  3. OK, I want one. Ugly but some things should be heard and not seen. The perfect carry piece is the one you have with you that one time you need it. No square corners; its print in your jeans pocket would be that of an iphone. More than a 380 in a piece that small would jump out of your hand on the first shot. Hope they do have an extended mag to wrap my pinky around. Yep, maybe won’t win the argument, but a couple 9mm short Hydroshock rounds is at least going to change the subject.
