  1. When I was younger and visiting New Mexico a friend told me to sniff the pine trees. After assurances that:

A: it was not a euphemism
B: I was not going to get my head shoved into the tree as a “joke”

I discovered that the sap smelled like vanilla! This was much different than the loblolly pines around my home. They smell like turpentine.

Pine trees are different and somehow I think Forest service employees already know this.

Stupid government overreach. It’s the plant-on-plant crime we have to worry about. Didn’t Rush already show us the danger of this in their song “The Trees”?

  2. Well of course, if the forestry service is worried about ‘invasive species’, that’s a euphemism for immigration, and ‘soil purity’ is a code word for racism. Also, forest service employees were caught not referring to trees by their genders, which is a hate crime. Dun dun duuun…

  3. “”Why? Is he afraid they might secretly prefer deciduous trees to evergreens?”

I believe the correct term is Conifers. The phase ‘evergreens’ was created by our ship-building forefathers to shame the leaf bearing trees. If you would have taken the training, you would have known this.
