“I can promise that a year from now, when I no longer hold this office, I’ll be right there with you as a citizen.” — President Obama #SOTU
“Or, preferably, lording over you as UN Secretary General“

“I’ll be right there with you as a citizen.” Well not right there next to you, unless you are worth at leas a couple hundred million dollars. I’m not going be rubbing shoulders with the riff-raff you know.
According to the UN Charter, the Secretary General cannot be a citizen of one of the permanent members of the Security Council. He will have to either claim he is a citizen of Kenya or give up the US’s permanent seat. I suppose either is possible. Those are the indicators for which we should be alert.
Another promise? Hehe.
If you like your ex-President, you can keep your ex-President.
Obama: “Dismiss Me Yet?”
…
“And after your presidency — what then, Barack?”
“Then I’ll be all aroun’ in the dark. Me, and my legacy, wil be ever’where — wherever you look. Wherever they’s a fight so hungry people can eat, my it’ll be there. Wherever they’s a cop beatin’ up a guy, it’ll be there. Why, I’ll be in the way guys yell when they’re mad an’ — I’ll be in the way kids laugh when they’re hungry an’ they know a free supper’s ready. An’ when our folks eat the stuff they din’t raise an’ live in the houses they din’t build — why, I’ll be there. See? God, I’m talkin’ like Wright. Comes of thinkin’ about him so much. Seems like I can see him sometimes.”
He has a second choice you know…Barack Obama, Supreme Court Justice extraordinaire, appointed there to by President Hillary. You scratch my back Barack and I’ll scratch yours. In which position do you suppose he could do the most damage to the country? For my money he’s more dangerous in the SC than in the UN. That’s why, as much as I don’t like certain of the Republican candidates, I’ll vote for any one of them before I’d ever consider staying home on election night having a temper tantrum because my favorite candidate didn’t get nominated.
So, he’s finally going to get his green card?
@2 Actually BOTH are not only possible but probable.
