I loved the Gong Show, it was like American Idol except I liked to watch it.
There was one group that had freaky masks, sorta like a cross between the aliens that probe you (well, me) and sleestaks, who just held guitars and swayed back and forth to Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song.
It was awesome and took not a lick of talent and they won.
It’s Gene, Gene, the Dancing Machine!
My favorite was always the Unknown Comic.
My favorite group became big stars: Oingo Boingo!
