Google has filed a patent that will allow its driverless cars to get out of the way of police and other emergency vehicles.
Nice. But if you’ve seen the prototypes, you know their biggest challenge right now is getting it to survive a head-on with a chihuahua.
You need a patent to obey the law? Or were they going to just sit in front of ambulance for the hell of it?
This will really weird out those of us in emergency services who aren’t used to vehicles actually getting out of the way.
