David Prowse didn’t know they would be using another actor (Sebastian Shaw) for the unmasking of Darth Vader in The Return of the Jedi. They filmed the scene on another set in secret. They also used alternative dialog while filming the famous “I am your father” scene. They suspected Prowse would leak information to the press.
I’ve read that during filming, only George Lucas and Mark Hamill knew the actual, “I am your father” line.
The line Prowse delivered to throw off everyone was, “I am your mother”.
