I echo the senitments of the post author at Neatorama: “We might not know exactly how intricate these tricks are, but the crowd is full of yoyo experts and fans, and listen to how impressed they are!”
But I’ll admit I’m sometimes puzzled by how the tricks they roar the loudest at aren’t the ones that impress me most.
Still, there is something kinda awesome about having an American win a European yo-yo contest by doing tricks to the second most American song next to The Star Spangled Banner.

I totally agree with your assessment of the song choice!
And the video is jaw-droppingly watchable. (Re-watchable, actually.)
I love how he keeps adding icing on the already-iced cake: just when you think he can’t get any better, he does; when you believe he can’t do anything more difficult, he does; and when you think you’ve seen it all, you haven’t.
For perspective, consider that this is perfect heartistry (to coin a phrase); yet Hollywood assumes that if a few seconds of tossing a “Cocktail” shaker (learned after a few weeks of practice) are spliced together the audience will go home absolutely stunned and cheer an Oscar nomination.

By the way, sometimes I think this clip could have been named “Donald Trump Deals With The Post, The Times, and the Alphabet Networks.”
