Sunday Night Open Thread

The weekend is nearly over.

Yeah, I feel the same way.

But it’s not Monday yet. It’s Sunday night. And that means Sunday Night Open Thread! That means tell a joke. Post a link. Share what’s on your mind. The topic, nay, the topics, are up to you.

Who wants to go first?

  1. That’s right Jimmy, tomorrow is May 1st global ‘Red Holocaust’ memorial day or Mayday…a day to remember all the millions of people murdered, starved, enslaved, and imprisoned by the following comrades: Lenin, Trotsky, Stalin, Mao, Ho Chi Min, Pol Pot, Ceausescu, Honecker, the Castro’s; both Fidel and Raul, the Kim’s; I, II,and III, Khrushchev, Kadar. There are so many, many more I could add to the list but why bother. In a hundred years when the western nations, including ours, have all been taken over and converted to Islam, no one will remember these people anyway. Allah who is whatever!

  2. I’ll continue with the birthday theme. Arthur Wellesley, the first Duke of Wellington, the man who started the fad of defeating the French army, was prime minister of Great Britain, and gave his name to both the type of boots that I wear while shoveling snow and a street in Chicago (3000 north, pronounced “thirty-hundred north” by us native Chicagoans), was born May 1, 1769.
