Under the affirmative-action rules for admission to California’s colleges and universities, Asian people count as white people, because they are too successful in qualifying for admission on their own merits, and therefore are over-represented in the student population. Only unsuccessful minorities count as minorities – failure to succeed is essentially part of the definition of “minority.” But we’re the racists, for wanting to hold everyone to the same standard.
