What’s your favorite over the counter pain reliever?
I’ve been dealing with a situation for 2-3 weeks now, and I’ve tried acetaminophen, ibuprofen, and naproxen-sodium. Maybe I should try aspirin.
While I go raid the Walgreens store, y’all take over here and post something. Funny. Sad. Cute. Clever. Whatever.

Who wants to start?

For a headache – aspirin and coffee (espresso even better).
For body aches – ibuprofen. Double the dosage for the 1st day or two.
For heartaches – catnip
Aspirin & caffeine is a good combo. 2 Excedrin have 130 mg.
Also, chewing aspirin gets it into your bloodstream faster, which may be worth the awful taste

I use zinc sulfate for shingles (covered with moss).
When I have a particularly bad case of dolichoderinae (which happens several times per year)I, I use sodium borate, sugar and water.
The last few years I’ve had several bad cases of procyon lotor which destroys your best work and can make you feel helpless and depressed. Methomyohmy seems to get it under control.
All year long around here, I’m constantly fighting branta canadensis which causes feces buildup in the worst places. Small metallic nodules made of Fe and Cu can keep it at bay – for awhile.
With animals nearby, there’s always a chance for hybomitra micans which is very irritating. But I don’t even want to talk about that.

I hurt my back last year. Worst pain in my 50-years of life. I managed to tear some lower back muscles, and then I knocked my spine out of alignment a few days later. Oops.
Naproxen-sodium kept me sane. Ibuprofen is OK, but the Naproxen-sodium worked better. On a related note, I highly recommend ice for reducing pain and inflamation. Ice even helps reduce itching. Good luck.
Cheers,

Naproxen is the only thing that quiets my lower back pain. Aleve is the brand name. My liver forgives me, although I think it’s just too weak to complain.
Today’s birthday is that of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, born in 1881, who succeeded in dragging Turkey into the twentieth century, where it remained until recently, when it returned to the seventh century, but with more modern weapons.
Turkey is merely trying to keep up with all the other predominantly Islamic nations on the planet.
For headaches, aspirin and Coca-cola (the full sugar kind, diet doesn’t work).
