This was not a fully fledged break-in.

And just when he’d finally come out of his shell. Well, he stuck it out for 4 hours. That’s something to crow about.
Perhaps he wasn’t fluent in Pidgin-English.
Maybe he was trying to break out, of the Manhattan zoo.
If the US border is meaningless the border to the bird house must even more so.
